A Short Bio of Vasilios Kallitsis

Mr. Kallitsis began his early career in Marketing (Sparti Hellas SA, Mescal) and then worked as a theatre director for private and state theatres around the world. His work has been performed among others at the Brooklyn Academy of Music-Next Wave Festival, the La Mama Theatre, Public Theatre, Little Theatre, Ohio Theatre, The State Theatre of South India, The State Theater of Komotini, etc. Mr. Kallitsis has directed among others the Indian Hindu classic epic “The Little Clay Cart” by King Shudraka, the tragedy “Hippolytos” by Euripides which toured with great success all over India and became the first appearance of an Indian State Theater in the city of New York, “The Love of Don Perlimplin and Belissa in the Garden” by F.G. Lorca, “The Birthday Party” and “The Caretaker” by Harold Pinter, “The Glass Menagerie” by T. Williams and “The World Mysteries” by Tasos Roussos that combined world religions and exposed high theatrical traditions like Japanese Noh, Indian Kathakali and Chinese Opera over texts by Homer, Plato, Aeschylus, etc.

The New York International Festival of the Arts included his work under its umbrella for the program “Global Perspectives for the New Millennium”. Mr. Kallitsis has given numerous lectures in universities (University of Essex, Hult University) and festivals around the world, including the European Cultural Center at Delphi.

Sensing the up-and-coming global changes in the digital media field and realizing that technology will alter the way that we view media and entertainment, Mr. Kallitsis, by combining his background in Directing and Marketing has formed a digital media company Yourmoods Ltd with a strong and experienced management and technical team to introduce the brand name Vimodji to the global market.
